I support the ban on junk food in high schools. Statistically, 1/3 of Americans are overweight. Obesity can lead to diabetes and heart disease. I am sure teenagers now won't appreciate the ban but I am sure when they are older they will appreciate it. I think it is similar to drivers having to wear their seatbelts. A driver can be ticketed for not wearing their seatbelt, which I am sure no one likes. But, the law has already saved hundreds of thousand people. Sometimes, the powers that be need to protect people from themselves.

Yes they should. I was skinny til I hit Jr. High and High school. My mom would give me money for lunch food and I would buy chips and candy instead. Its tempting when they put it there in your face!! And you dont have your mom there to tell you NO!! lol.
