It could be a start of an infection. A pet will shake its head occasionally and will scratch its ear. This will often progress to the stage where the pet is obviously distressed. It may moan as it tries to scratch its ear. It will rub its head along the ground and may walk with its head at an angle.
If you examine the ear, you will notice that the ears have a pungent smell. You may also see some discharge in the ear, especially in the ear canal. This discharge may be brown in colour, it may be yellow and look like pus, or it may contain blood - not something to ignore.
An insect called an ear mite sometimes causes ear infections. These small creepy-crawlies move around inside the ear canal and cause great discomfort. The ears of the dog or cat react to this irritation by pumping out a waxy discharge. This gunk is an ideal soup for bacteria, yeasts and fungi to grow in, further worsening the problem.
If mites are present, they will be visible but, in many cases, bacteria or yeasts without ear mites cause the infection. There may also be foreign bodies present, such as grass seeds, which need immediate attention by a veterinarian.
Best thing to do is try to make her comfy for tonight by giving her a warm hot water bottle to cuddle up-to in bed & leave a radio playing. Hopefully this may settle her until you can get to the vets in the morning.
Good luck!!!

Get her ears checked for an infection. I'm not sure if it's Canker but for any ear infection. Warm (not hot) some cooking oil on a teaspoon and put some drops in her ears. Let it sit for a little while and then gently wipe the inside of the ear with some cotton wool. Try and keep the cotton wool in the ear without causing distress to the puppy. If it's an infection of the ear drum. You won't notice anything wrong with her ears but it can be painful and the warm oil and the slight pressure of the cotton wool eases it slightly until you can get drops from the vet.

She could have something in her ears as she seems distressed, I own 2 dogs and my husband was a police dog handler.
If it is canker or a foreign body try putting in any human ear drops if not a good substitute is olive oil only a few drops but it sooths as well as cleans and it wont harm her, she may have a bite in her ear by a mosquito. If she gets too stressed you can always call a 24 vets for advice try a VETMED they are always good you can find your local in the thomson local.
They may be able to give you better advice.
You seem to have your hands full with these puppies
I hope this will help good luck.

Here's what's worked for me. You don't want to start off with him pottying in the house especially considering his eventual adult size. 1. Crate train. Wilson should be confined, preferably in a crate, or tethered to you (I use both) most of the time. He should have absolutely no unsupervised freedom at this age. 2. Schedule everything including food, water, play, training, etc. Now that does not mean giving less food or less water or even less play and fun. It just means scheduling when it's given so you know when he'll need to go out. 3. Take the pup out to wherever you want him to do his business. Then wait for him to do it. While waiting, repeat a word or phrase such as "do your business." When he does it, praise and treat. 4. If he sometimes does his business and then comes inside and does it again right away try this. After her he does his business, play a short game of any kind that gets him moving. Then go back to the potty area and repeat #3. 5. IF you catch him in the act of going in the house, give a firm voice correction (or at MOST a slight scruff shake), pick him up mid business and take him outside to finish. Then reward. Take him out often including at least once during the night at this young age.

If she has canker the inside of her ears would look dirty but it would do her no harm if you warmed some olive oil and put a few drops into each ear then wiped it out with soft cotton wool. But still take her to the vet she could have grass seed or something in it.

Give her Chamomile tea, to help her nerve endings calm down.
Chamomile tea works very well, and is safe for her. Dump it out of the teabag, and use 1/2 teaspoon , Mix it in a little (about twice the amount as the tea) canned food, such as Mighty Dog, or Cesar's, and give as needed for her to relax,,needs. It will keep her happy, but reduce irritation and stress. It can be given as needed.

I guess an ear infection is the most likely. Make sure she drinks water and feel her nose to see if it is hot. If it is she may have a slight fever, no hot water bottles then. you best make an appointment with the vet asap. Give her a cuddle from me and all her brothers and sisters too. try not to worry, as this will transmit to her too. Good Luck!!!!

Aww, poor baby, she is just feeling a bit lost without her mom, have you got one of those old alarm clocks, if so wind it up and put it under her bed and she will think its her moms heartbeat and that might help to settle her down a bit, give her a cuddle from me too and good luck.

Poor little muggins. Sounds like you have the right idea about getting the vet to check her out. Keep her warm and cuddled up and the "ticking clock" idea (sounds like mom's heartbeat to pups) is a good one. Please give her a gentle hug for me and her littermates, too.
All will be well.
