You must accept Jesus Christ as your Savior, and then LIVE as though you accepted Him. Just "being good" in the absence of a relationship with God is called "humanitarianism", and it won't get you to heaven. Believing in God, but doing nothing (having no good works to show) is called "dead faith" and it won't get you to heaven either.
Salvation is a free gift from God that cannot be earned or merited. But it does have to be accepted. The Bible emphasizes two essential responses we must make in order to accept the gift of salvation - faith and good works. Neither one alone will suffice. So, no, you won't get to heaven just by "being good", but you will certainly keep yourself out of heaven by not being good. Just read the last few verses of Matt 28.

It is not by being good. Being good is a nice thing, but it won't get you into heaven. To get into heaven you must have a relationship with Jesus Christ and he will take all of your sin so that you may become perfect and therefore enter into heaven.

Depends on the heaven.
Yours might be a little different than mine.
To get in my heaven, you have to see it now and do the things that you enjoy, have passion and respect other beings that you come across.

compassion is the answer--christ went out to all the people that others hated to prove that they were good people too

Strive in your search for truth. Don't assume things, explore everything and ask God for guidance.
Say sincerely, "O God! If you are out there, then guide me".
The above statement applies even to an atheist as it contains as if and there is no harm in being sincere in saying the above and then striving for it.

To go to Heaven you have to be good and believe in God, his prophets and Books and in the day of Judgement.

You get to heaven by faith not by works. Jesus died to save us from our sins.

Nah, only by asking Jesus into your life and accepting him as your saviour or whatever. Being good is just to benifit others and he would want you to do that also.
