I had a car accident about a year ago and ever since I have had problems sleeping. My lower back aches from the seatbelt. I can't ever get comfortable. I don't currently have ins. but I will in two months. Any thoughts? Money isn't really an issue. I just want to be comfortable and sleep at night.

I had a car accident in 1999. About 3 years ago the back pain got unbearable, so I went to the doctor (no help, they couldn't find anything wrong). I started sleeping with a Thermacare patch on my lower back, and it really helped. But it didn't totally make it better until about a year ago when we bought a new mattress.

I've never been to a chiropractor, and know people who have that it has helped, and people who have that it has hurt. Use your best judgement there, but sleeping with the heat on mine really helped me, and still does if I overdo it and need a little help getting my back to relax.

I was in a car accident and broke my back, so my situation is very serious. I try to prat- ice Spring Forest Qigong when I am not out walking, depending on the season. Not only does that help me with the back, but all areas of my life have been helped by it.

You need to get to a good spine doctor and get an MRI and see what is going on in there................back in 1995 i was in 3 car accidents where i was rear-ended and the last one really messed me up. As the yrs. went by my back got slowly worse until i couldn't hardly walk.....to make a long story short i have had 2 major surgeries last yr.........i had my lumber fused and now i have to have a total hip replacement..........i lost 2 inches in height after the back surgeries which i believe threw me all out of whack so don't mess around with your back!!!!!!!! GET TO A DR. ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! good luck!!!
