I love her and all. She is a tiger cat and her name is Minnie. I belive she may be an older cat. One day she slept on my bed all day until about 11PM. Also, she is always wanting to go outdoors and I want to make her an indoor cat. We have kittens, and she growls at them and attacks them a lot. She even attacks the mother of the kittens and they get in a lot of fights.

I have had cats for 28 years and have a lot of books about cat care. In just about every one of them, they say that cats sleep on an average of 18 hours a day. Also, I say kudos to you for trying to make her an indoor cat!! All cats should be kept indoors! You're obviously a caring and responsible pet owner!

I have a female cat who does the same thing. She growls at our most recent cat (even though we got him about 6 months ago), she sleeps all day (usually on our remote controls), and is about 13-years-old. There is nothing that you can do except wait for your cat's tolerance for annoying kittens to increase and let a sleeping cat lie.

I got a male cat, 6 years old and he doesn't like no one, not even animals and he just spoiled and just sleeps a lot. He is just plain out lazy. When he is awake, he my be laying around, at the litter box, or where we at, and he also lays at his water bow. If he isn't doing those, he is probably laying on the head of the couch or near air conditioning or at the end of the couch on the floor.

Welcome to cats. They sleep a lot. They're nocturnal so you may not see them doing anything. They like to be outside where all the interesting smells are. And if they're not raised with other animals they can be...testy. Everything will settle down eventually. It just might take months.
