How long would a guy wait to ask out a girl...if he really liked or even loved her but wasnt sure how she felt? Me and this guy has had something for a year now but I knew he didnt ask me out at first because he is really shy. Now... it still hasnt happened, and im afraid that maybe we both waited too long...and that we are both in love with eachother but dont ask the other one out because we dont want to be heartbroken if the other says no. Guys, would you hold back on asking someone out with this situation? Why is he not asking me out?

well, even if the other one says no. wouldnt you rather know then not know anything at all. even if it means you'll be heartbroken. just try to talk to him. about the situation and you guys both feel. get it over with

I had the same problem as you once. I could tell this guy liked me when I was younger but we were both to shy to do the asking. We hung around each other for about a year and nothing came of it. Now I know to be more assertive. If you like the guy, you should ask him somewhere - it doesn't have to be a date. It can be more casual. Like ask him what movies he's looking forward to coming out and if one interests you, say something like "oh I really want to see that too! Are you going with someone?"
And hopefully he will say no and you can suggest meeting him at the theater the night it comes out. Good luck!

After a year, being "shy" is no longer an acceptable excuse. Read the book "He's Just Not That Into You", can't remember the authors name.

you both have to step up and put your feelings aside and ask each other out. if you dont then you both are going to wounder what might have been. take a chance and find out if this guy is the man of your dreams
