Drambuie is my favorite after dinner drink. And yes it is still on the market. It is a mixture of honey and cognac and is just an excellent drink.
When I have a bad cold or cough I mix one part strong very hot black tea with one part Drambuie. It will cure what ails you. When My daughter was in Pharmacy School she asked one of her Professors about the concoction. It seems the tea makes you sweat, the honey gives you energy, and the alcohol makes you sleep.
Some folks like it on the rocks. I like it straight up. Drambuie is like my women......Strong, Sweet and Straight

Yes....it makes for a nice Rusty Nail for sipping. 1/2 scotch, 1/2 drambuie. Great in cold weather. Warms you from the inside out!

We like drambuie with coffee and cream - or straight - after a big meal it makes you not feel so full....at least that's what we always tell ourselves.

Don't mix it. Save the specials for drinking neat or over ice, or at most, with a little water or tonic or soda (all of which enhance the aroma of fine liquor).
Mix the generic stuff, not necessarily store brands, just the cheap liquors, where the taste of the alcohol is masked by whatever the mix is.
Mixing fine liquor should be a crime.

how funny my bf and i were thinking of getting some this weekend!! they sell it at BevMo and most Albertsons or Ralphs, etc. it's whiskey based liqueur!! you might find it sitting next to a bottle of Frangelico (hazelnut) or DiSaronno (amaretto/almond)
