My own take on that, and I have been the target of many 'trick' questions, is one that is really a test (you already know the answer and you want to see if he will be truthful) or a question that has no correct answer (anything that he says will be wrong, no possible way to win or come out of it alive, figuratively speaking).
Men can usually recognize them fairly quickly once they start to see them.

Any question where you are fishing for information based on his response that is not the literal answer to the question you asked.

Ie: do I look good in this dress? Does not mean he thinks you are fat if he says no?

Does that girl look pretty? should not be a comparison to you.

Ask yourself before you ask this question type, do you want honesty, or flim flam answers.

Do these jeans make my butt look big?
Where are you going? When will you be back?
Anything that can't be answered with a simple yes or no.....

"Do you love me?"

That's the worst one.
