One time I made a delicious Sock Casserole!
Here's the recipe, if you want it:
8-9 Clean Socks
1 Cup Shredded Cheese (Mozzerella/Cheddar/Whatever you like!)
2 Cups Applesauce
Tbsp. Salt
1-2 Small Tomatoes
Layer the socks, cheese, applesauce, and diced tomatoes (about 3 layers). Sprinkle with salt and bake for about 10 mintues, or until the cheese on top is nice and bubbly.
Serve with some nice wine, and you got yourself a meal! ; )

Your question is too vague. Are the socks tube socks or Argyle? Were they baked, boiled, sauted or microwaved? Here is a recipe for braised Hanes Crew socks with Chipotle butter sauce:
2 pair Hanes Crew socks (white)
1 medium onion, finely diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 shallots, minced
1 chipotle chile in adobo sauce, finely diced
1/4 cup unsalted butter, plus 2 TBSP
3/4 cup chicken stock
salt and pepper
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In medium saute pan melt 2 Tbsp butter over high heat, add socks and sear until golden brown on all sides. Remove from pan and set aside. Add onions, garlic, shallots and butter to hot pan. Saute over medium heat until onions turn a golden brown. Deglaze pan with chicken stock. Add chipotle chile and all 4 socks. Cover with lid or aluminum foil. Place pan in oven for 45 minutes or until the internal temperature at the heal of the sock is at least 137 degrees F. Serve with garlic mashed bodywash poufs and steamed VHS cassette spears.

My friend Robert has just told me he used a cotton sock to contain his bouquet garni for a posh dinner and forgot to remove it. The dish was coq au vin -- so might I suggest red wine enriched with hemp oil to keep the cotton theme??

Dayton's Mango Chutney - but only for cotton socks! I never eat woolen socks - too tough!
