I hope that you called the police first and got a police report. Then I hope, if you didn't, that he gave you correct information.
Contact his insurance company and tell them that you and your passengers were injured and that you are going to the doctor. They should tell you how to submit or have the doctors submit the bills directly to them. Contact an attorney and he will tell you what to do for the rest.

It depends on how the accident occured and assuming that the
car directly behind your car crashed into your car's end without
any warning or reason whatsoever, then the fault lies with the
car at the back.
If there are any injuries suffered by the driver and passengers
and the damaged car, all those involved can submit claims and press charges against the guilty driver.
In order to submit claims and press charges, you're required
to do the following:-
1. engage a lawyer to take up your case;
2. make a police report of the actual accident happened as to
where, when, what, why, which and how;
3. medical report at clinic or hospital - to confirm by doctor the
extend of bodily injury;
4. get in touch to inform the insurance company of the accused
of a possible claim against general and liquidated damages
etc. which your lawyer should proceed the case against
the accused also;
I hope I have sufficiently provide you enough info for you to
take action on the guilty driver.
Best of luck!

you should have whats coming from the other person's insurance
but thats not always enough.you could hold out with the others,
insurance co.because they should have different amounts the can offer.you could go to yor local courthouse and on the main-
floor they should have a bunch of different windows you can go
to and one of them can help you go after that person and you can also make that person pay all the court fees,and if you need a lawyar,that can be covered as well.the other people on the car
can take what the other person insurance offers them,or if they don't like that offer,they may have to get from your insurance co,
for,thats how some insurance co,work,and then the other person insurance co,pays your s back,in good time,but thats not always the case,you can ask that at the courthouse as well.or even ask your insurance holder you go through,what they should do,and whats the best way for them to do,and they could even give you some answers.also,at your local courthouse they should have
whats called the lawyer of the day,that you could talk to for free
while your there,tring to found out some info.they may even have
someone different you can talk with there also.but you all should make sure you all get looked at by a doctor,or the er doctor,as
soon as you can,that looks good for you and the others,for the person that hit you,their insurance co.will really know then,that
you mean business,and they should offer a good price.i know one person who was hhit almost a year ago,and she's still
holding out because she got hurt real bad,and the other person insurance co.knew it ,back at the begin,and tried to offer some good amounts,she told her husband and he said lets talk with your doctor,and talk with a lawyer.for it sounds like you could get more and the know it aat this insurance co,and they know you still have other things coming up from the accident and they want to get out of it the easy way.so they did and they're still waiting by she says it's going to pay-off big in the long run.someone else
i know got hit and went to the er,from the accident and had their truck towed,waited it out and got a real good amount.he bought a brand new truck 1st time owner and paid it off in full with cash and still had enough money left over to do what he wanted.but sometimes the insurance co.wil give a good price if they know you've,been seen by an er doc,or your on doctor,within the first
few days of the accident,but you8don't need to take the first offer,and they have to pay for everything,time missed from work,medical bills,anything that is because of the accident.and
that goes for all that was in your car.but talk with the people i
said and they'll help you out alot better..

Are you in a no-fault state. Your medical bills are paid by your ins. co. You can see an attorney about a suit, but don't expect much . There's almost always at least some short term pain after an accident like that. You may need to wait awhile and see what comes out of it. Don't be in a rush.

Have you reported it to the other party's insurance company? This is the place to start. If the other party did not have insurance, do you have uninsured motorist? If this is the case, report it to your own insurance company. If you do not have insurance, shame on you.
