My bet is (since I don't use the site) that it was created by people fed up of being surrounded by other people bleating on about how god did this and how god did that without feeling the need ever to question the basis for their nonsense. The site contains references to the various kinds of nonsense and contradiction found in the Bible and prevalent among believers. Unbelievers may then confront any believer trying to bother them into believing in their invisible friend (remember: atheists never knock on doors and try to get people to believe what they think) with some of the facts and whatnot compiled on the site.
However, it poses no real problem for believers, because they are right. All the unbeliever has done is compile a list of logical fallacies. But because the believer is right, the logic must be false. All the believer has to do is use the same logic to explain to the unbeliever why they are wrong to think that they (the believer) lives according to completely contradictory rules, and the unbeliever is silenced. I think the other questioner was trying to get Christians to engage in exactly this kind of debate. Strangely none chose to offer any kind of logical response.

jeremiah 5:11 The house of Israel and the house of Judah
have been utterly unfaithful to me,"
declares the LORD.
12 They have lied about the LORD;
they said, "He will do nothing!
No harm will come to us;
we will never see sword or famine.
13 The prophets are but wind
and the word is not in them;
so let what they say be done to them."
14 Therefore this is what the LORD God Almighty says:
"Because the people have spoken these words,
I will make my words in your mouth a fire
and these people the wood it consumes.
15 O house of Israel," declares the LORD,
"I am bringing a distant nation against you—
an ancient and enduring nation,
a people whose language you do not know,
whose speech you do not understand.
16 Their quivers are like an open grave;
all of them are mighty warriors.
17 They will devour your harvests and food,
devour your sons and daughters;
they will devour your flocks and herds,
devour your vines and fig trees.
With the sword they will destroy
the fortified cities in which you trust.
30 "A horrible and shocking thing
has happened in the land:
31 The prophets prophesy lies,
the priests rule by their own authority,
and my people love it this way.
But what will you do in the end?

I would think that who ever created it was well meaning, and created it in an attempt to show Christians and other theists of their various delusions. None of the info on their is bashing religious people, it is just pointing out the many flaws in their beliefs. You can't be angry because someone is using logic to defend their beliefs. Christians should check it out, if they don't, one could easily assume that they believe all atheistic logic to be "propaganda", and they are rather unwilling to step into another's shoes. That could only be considered cowardly and pathetic, so I invite all people, read over it, it doesn't take too long, and if you don't seriously re-think your beliefs, oh well, nothing lost.

Well, since I've been watching the question you referred to, the poor guy was just curious as to a response to the things said, and a Christian explanation, which thus far nobody has done. He wasn't trying to brainwash anyone, he was sincerely looking for answers.
Go you for not having the ability to discuss something that disagrees with your beliefs. Go you for having a great oppourtunity to witness and ditching it and insulting it on top of that.

So its ok for Christians and other Monotheists to have websites that re-comfirm their own shared illusions but its not ok for atheists to re-confirm their beliefs?

It's a joke website. Can you take jokes and mind your own business?
Looking at the thumbs down, I take it you can't.
