It's b/c you aren't getting enough potassium in your diet...eat more bananas or potatoes.
Hope you feel better
:) God Bless

I take a 300 mg quinine tablet every night just before I go to bed and have no more trouble with the really bad cramp I used to get. All you have to do is ask your doctor for them. Also, make sure you drink plenty of water but don't take too much salt in your diet as it is seriously bad for you.

Could be your shoes and lack of salt in your diet - drink more water. I had similar last year, i think it was a combination of these three things.
Go to Boot's (if in the U.K) and get some soft shoe liners and possibly look at one with basic arch support.
Try sitting down in the evening and gently rub the arches and toes to relax your feet - after a few months of drinking more water and putting the extra cushioning in my shoes it stopped.
Good luck.

I have heard that if you drink a lot of water especially before you go to bed the cramps will go away.

I use to get this allllll the time if i wasn't eating properly. But apparently cramp in general is due to a lack of salt in your diet.
