my boyfriend and i were watching a movie and a soft rock 80s song came on. he says 'i love this song, everytime i hear it, it makes me cry. don't tell anyone.' i said 'i won't.' i was leaning on him and i felt him inhale like he was going to say something...i raised my head and said 'what were you going to say?' and he had a tear run down his cheek.
of course i'm not going to tell his 'buddies'...but i really didn't know what to say, so i just held him closer.
guys, do you cry in front of your girlfriends like this or does he just trust that he can show me his true feelings?

he trusts you girl. guys rule of thumb: don't show your emotion in front of the boys unless it's something severe, ie. a death, a divorce, something pretty big.
show your emotions in front of a girl you trust to increase the trust you have in each other - and because you're comforable in exposing yourself to someone.

Yeah, my man cried in front of me too. But it's cuz he thought his parents were getting a divorce, or I was breaking up w/him. I would kinda feel funny if my man cried over a song. It's sweet in a way, shows he is sensitive, but I think you may look at that later on and be like, "I can't believe he cried over a song in front of me". Maybe you won't. Maybe you like that mushy stuff. I dunno, it just means he is ultra sensitive. Make sure you are careful w/his feelings. btw......you should find out why that song makes him cry. I hope it doesn't make him think of an ex-girlfriend or something. Sorry - I'm a little pesimistic.

When i read the other ppls answers i normaly get my answer told there, but in this case, not so much. This could be a game that makes him seem more loving and so on, a sympathy trick. You think oh thats so cute, and he knows that he had faked it, its not hard to fake tears, but on the other hand he could just be really emotional during those kinds of movies or songs *cough* suck up*cough, cough*

there is a song boys dont cry..and they say if boys cry he is weak and he is gay..for me nope..
crying is one of the natural way of releasing any tension, pain or hatred in ones heart..
maybe your boyfriend is very so sweet that this 80's song reminds him of something or someone or some events that are very very specail or memorable for him..maybe he just dont tell you because he had no time to tell you..he just tlod u not to tell to his buddies about it..a man like him is so true and so special coz he wined out his feeling to you..specially for you..
Crying is norma but it depends upon the person who misinterpret the meaning when boys cry..
i was so touch with your story..

He has lots of trust in you. It takes 100% trust in a girl for a guy to cry in front of her. So please do him a favor and don't tell anyone that he cries in front of you. I sure hope he doesn't cry all the time, because after awhile it will stop being special.

there is nothing wrong if he cried infront of u , with what he did i think 1. he was trying to show u he is romantic 2. he feels lonely 3. he is waiting more love and care .

he really like you,and that is sssoooo sweet.

And he is really sweet,nice,smart inside somewhere.
It is so ok when a boy cries.
I think it is really cool when a boy cries and isnt afraid to show his true felling,i think its whack when they hold it in just to look "cool".

guys r human beings like us... they also have feelings and when they get emotionnal they cry
and yeah they wont do it ifront of anyone .. they will only do it if its infrnt of someone they really love and trust
