they didnt chase his wife they where riding on the back of their seeing eye dog who in turn was chasing the farmers wife.

I guess if the farmer's wife turned into cheese. Hey but they can cause nothing is wrong with their feet.

if they were in fact blind, how can we know for sure that they were actually running after the farmers wife? did they somehow know they were chasing her, or were they actually chasing someone else?
