I was storing my huge and very expensive tent at my mom's house in the basement. My stepdad's cat peed all over it. Any way I can safely get the cat pee out of the tent?? Or is it a loss??

I would toss it, as tents are made of materials that are difficult to clean (getting out odors). Toss and buy a new one. People who recommend vinegar and all that think it will work, but the truth is, you would literally have to use galllons and gallons of the stuff. Cheaper to buy a new tent.

Try setting the tent up outside and go buy some hair dye. Use the neutralizer in it on the pee. If you can, put it in a spray bottle. You might need more than one. Find a sale.

put vinegar over the affected areas. You can let it soak for a while. Then rinse it to get as much vinegar off as possible. The cat smell would last forever on it's own. The vinegar gets rid of it, and then the vinegar smell goes away after a while.

Urine Gone works really well. Don't give up on the tent. I've seen Urine Gone at Rite Aid. Also Zero Odor is very, very good. You can access them on the internet at ZeroOdorStore.com, or their phone number is: 1-800-526-2967.

In pet hospitals they use an enzymatic compound that actually breaks down the smelly compounds in cat urine. Nature's Miracle works pretty well.

Depends how much money you want to spend to find out. Call your local cleaners and ask if it's possible.

Seriously, I think it's a done deal and you probably will have to toss.
