my cousin is 13 and in catholic school and if they do something bad the teacher makes them pull down their pants and undies and paddles them 50 times in front of the class.

It's a private school. The rules are different there. That wouldn't fly in a public school.

Do I think it's right? No. But that's my personal opinion. The kid might just deserve it.

Paddling a child fully clothed is one thing but never without their clothes on. The parents should be at that school , because I know I would be.

i think that a good slap on the hand with a ruler is OK, these kids need to be taught not to act up, but to be paddled on the bum with their pants down in from of everyone is something that i think is a little sick, and it could be considered sexual harassment almost.

no that is not okay - I went to Catholic school and I can't believe they still do that!

Parents should contact the principal to discuss more appropriate ways to discipline!

That is just shameful and humiliating to the students and teaches nothing.
