my girlfriend says its gay for a guy to get his hair cut at the salon. Notice im not getting waxed manicured etc. I need help

Don't let her make you feel weird about it. If you like the cut you get there, keep going there. It's the cut that matters, not where you get it.

It's definitely not gay for guys to get their hair cut at salons. Honestly, the best cuts come from salons instead of the barber on the corner. Better to be safe than sorry.

Absolutely not. You get expert treatment in a salon instead of someone whose last job was shearing sheep. And, for that matter, I see men getting both manicures and pedicures all the time. So go ahead and join the other guys who have learned that good grooming is a sign of class and maturity, not to mention a little sophistication in taking care of how you look.

Keep going to the salon, I think your girlfriend might be a little insecure about you getting your hair cut by another women?? It is definetly NOT gay for you to go to a salon, tell your women to get a life.

It's not gay. I mean if you were going in and you said. OK guys I want it layered with like 2 inch bangs and shaggy bottoms and I don't want you to mess up or I'll like freak then it would we gay. But if you go in and say ya I want a hair cut just the same but shorter then it's fine. Just don't look in the styling books for like 30 minutes like i do sometimes. Plus if guys hair is in a styling book then they expect guys to come. Don't worry what she thinks, if she really cares about you she won't make a big deal about it.

No it is not gay. Would she rather you have a nice stylish cut, or the run of the mill, generic barber cut, where you go in and ask for one thing and come out looking like every single other person, and nothing like what you wanted. Perhaps she's jealous and doesn't want a woman cutting your hair and touching you in any way.

Of course not! Nothing like a good salon (note -- really professional) cut t/turn up an appearance a notch. Just adds a little polish & don't guys need t/feel special too?

Gay means happy....or is slang for homosexual. The last time I checked, getting you hair cut at a hair salon fits into neither of these categories.

What could be less gay then to have a woman play with your head for 30 minutes and make you look good in the process?
It's about as close to a "Lap Dance" you can get and avoid the social ridicule.

It's fine for you to get your hair cut in a salon. Usually in a salon you can request more. They have honed their skills a bit more. If you want a razor cut you can get one...if you want to do color they can do that. They best hairdressers work in salons. Go for it!
