I've seen several responses to my questions attacking my character, parentage, intentions and so on which is rather amusing at times but also pathetic. Sometimes a question is just a question.

Because there are insecure people everywhere who would rather put someone else down so they can feel better than try to answer a sincere question. Some people don't like to be serious about anything, it's too scary to them. And some people just enjoy getting away with being rude when the consequences aren't very severe, like on this site. But I like to be helpful, so I hope this is.

Don't take it so personal. If you asking a question with so many different people giving answers you must know there are going to be bad eggs in very basket. Or maybe your questions need a tune- up. Either way except the things you can not change and and change the things you can. But have the wisdom to know the difference. Food for thought.

I also agree but The Internet for one gives everyone a place to hide their face while saying rude things to members on this board. Vulgar language on TV, movies, magazines, ads, celebrity behavior our kids mock off of. not to mention the parenting style of today (no offense meant there) with the discipline. I could go on and on but I think these are several good examples I hope this helps you with your answer. Sorry to say but this is how our culture has become.

I agree with you. I had a few scathing responses to one of my questions, I guess I hit a nerve, but as you say 'just a question'. When reading email or text one cannot interpret the tone of the question which can lead to misinterpretation. But I also think some people enjoy on picking on others as it makes them feel superior. Each to their own, I say!

Perhaps your questions are inciting emotions, perhaps it is the way you are asking the question. I think you already know this and really do not need anyone to tell you. God Bless

I'm with you!

In a place like this...where one could do only good and help, it would seem....like in life itself...people become bad mannered..and uncaring.

But...life has a way of paying back.......funny that!

I know what you mean. They do not know what empathy means. This is for the mean people it means - Empathy - the ability to identify with and understand another person’s feelings or difficulties.

Depends on the question and how it is asked.
If people are nasty in answering a thought out, spell checked and literate question, then they are stupid and should be ignored.
However, a little sarcasm doesn't hurt anyone.

Simple, they're immature and thoughtless - probably couldn't say sh** if they had a mouthful, lol. They need to read a book or take a class in non-blurting!!!!

They think they're being funny. Odds are 99% of them are under teenagers and preteens.
