So, I met this guy about a week ago through a mutual friend. He is absolutely wonderful from what I know of him so far. We have hung out a few times, went out for drinks on Saturday, and then chilled at his house last night. He seriously is amazing. So, without going into details and dragging on forever, is it possible that I could be falling for him already? Is it possible that with a 16 year age difference that it could really work. (I'm well beyond my teenage years, and am a mother of an adorable little boy, so please do not assume that I'm some silly 15 year old.) I haven't been looking for someone to be in my life in that way, but for some reason I cannot stop thinking about him. Honest opinions are greatly appreciated.

I think it is possible. You say you haven't been looking for someone but maybe you can't stop thinking about how nice it is to have someone in your life again. I would give it some time and see where he takes it. Keep your cool and have some fun. Don't worry so much about the age difference. If it is right it is right. Best of luck.

I'm 44 and the girl I've met is 21. Her exBF split the day she gave birth. It started out as just my helping, moved to dating, then 2 weekends ago she moved in with me. We are quite happy. She's livened up my life, I've supplied a base and support for hers. She has even reconciled with her parents and they are back in her life. She is in job training/studies to get her GED(BF talked her into dropping out) and she will be taking some type of vocational or technical training so if she chooses she can experience the workforce and earn her own money.
So while it might not be for everyone, it can have it's benefits. It can work well.
I really enjoy the thoughts of seeing the world again thru her eyes. And I get to see a child grow, and teach them also.

It sounds like you are really into this guy but I wouldn't rush it bur age is just a number & if your compatible in other ways & enjoy each others company age shouldn't matter- it's how you feel when your with him & how he feels with you( not always so easy to tell how a guy feels though) When you least expect to find someone you usually find someone - enjoy the time together & good luck!!

Sure its possible you could be falling for him already but its wise to hold back a little. Whenever you fall for someone so quick you usually by pass things you should be looking at. He could very well be a wonderful guy but you need more time to determine that. Make sure your not looking through rose colored glasses.

If you are a fully matured and grown adult age should never be an issue. People come into our lives at different times for different reasons and if you are falling for him, I say go for it! You have nothing to lose and everything to gain by giving it a chance. Good Luck!

While a 16 yr age difference may be frowned upon by others... its not really about what "they" think, is it? Go for what you want. Not what society thinks you should have.
