I really like this guy, we're almost always together because we do the same activity and are constantly at practice last night he took me to dinner and paid. he started talking about how he wasnt like most guys that just cause we went to dinner doesnt mean we have to go out so he made it obvious he didnt think it was a date. but while we were there I was uncomfortable because these guys were staring at me the whole time and he almost fought them to make me feel better. He would keep saying things and then said im really not this weird so i asked him why he cares so much about what i think and he said he didnt know cause he normally doesnt care that much and whenever he hangs out with someone who knows me, he makes sure i go. He never drops me of a minute before curfew and he makes sure of it. He told my friend he liked me but ive heard he is trying to use me to make her jealous because he really likes her. does he like me or not? and what can i do to find out w/o ruining our friendship

Sometimes the direct approach is best, just ask. But if that seems too bold for your liking, look for the following signs. Pay attention to your conversations with the person in question.
1) Does this person show a special interest in having a conversation with you and, once started, make an effort to keep that conversation going?
2) Has this person taken a sudden interest in your life and hobbies? This is a sure sign that he or she is interested in something.
3) Other elements of body language include frequent eye contact, holding your gaze and looking down before looking away.
4) Does the person you're wondering about just plain smile at you a lot?

nice, false romance -- enjoy and play the game --sometimes it does get serious. yours does not look like it. i can not tell you the next step -- except to say -- live your own life not his. do things you like not his. continue your routine -- whether or not he existed or not on your way. when things get to be more mature -- come back for a second opinion. for the time being it looks like -- catch me if you can! it is called a game.

the ive herd thing is wrong ask him who he likes and if you like him ask him to go somewhere one a double date with your bestfriend. make sure you call it a "get toghether" not a date. and make sure he dosent like your friend.!!!
