These are only a few that liberals have already taken a stand on. If you didn't follow the Republican talking points so closely and had your eyes and ears open you would know where liberal stand on all the above and more. Your questions shows how close minded you are if you are implying that liberals don't take stands on issues.

Liberals are typically pro-choice on abortion, in favor of laws that help the environment, in favor of raising the minimum wage, in favor of healthcare reform, not in favor of tax breaks that favor the wealthy and generally not in favor of war unless absolutely necessary. This list doesn't even begin to cover the multitude of issues that liberals might take a stand on and it certainly doesn't represent the viewpoint of every liberal, but it's a good general answer.

I couldn't speak for all "liberals", but I'll take a stand on big tax hikes for the rich, help for the poor, downsizing the military and impeachment of Bush (and friends) to name a few.

Sexual morays: Liberals are against big brother stepping in and telling us what to do in the bedroom.
Immigration: Liberals want America to show more compassion to the unfortunate.
Crime and punishment: Liberals want rehabilitation instead of retribution.
Defense: Liberals are suspicious of excessive military ambition.

Homelessness, Low income housing, The war on drugs, Social Security being there in 10 years, Mental health, health care for all Americans, Shall I go on...... All the things that effect middle to low income families, where Republicans focus on the higher income families, you know the ones that can afford housing, insurance, have pensions, and have access to mental health.
