okay i was looking this up in my baby book and it says NOT to starve a fever. fever take ALOT of calories to have. people think that if you starve it then it will have no calories to burn. this is not true. you can get very ill if you do not have enough calories with a fever. if you are not hungry you shouldn't force it, but don't starve yourself if you have a fever. however, it is very important to stay hydrated with water and juice (no caffine or alcohol) when you have a fever. and to avoid getting very cold. being cold will cause you to naturally shiver, which raises your body temp. as we all know, you do not want to raise your temp when you have a fever. that is what i know. i just want to make sure you're not gonna starve or freeze your feverish baby. have a good day!!!!!

No, it's feed a cold, starve a fever. Eating when you have the flu would most likely make you pray to the porcelain god!

No, it's starve a fever, feed a cold. I don't imagine you would want to eat much with the stomach flu either. With fevers, you should stick to clear liquids, making sure that you stay hydrated.

other way around, but you shouldnt do that either. you should still eat but only things that are easy to keep down like soup or toast. and lots of fluids like water and orange or grape juice.
