Unfortunately, if you have no Bachelor's / college degree - you are not eligible to apply for a work visa (H1b visa) to do "some online work" in the USA. However, you can work while residing in Pakistan if your employer is willing to pay you for your services / work.

Furthermore, not you - but a prospective US employer must be filing work visa paperwork for you.

You shall certainly consult a US immigration attorney.

For example, what was your status in the USA? Were you born in the USA? Do you have any other immediate family members in the USA (besides your father who died)? etc.

What about trying to go to a different country first and then coming to the US? Maybe the rules would change some at that point? You should consult an international attorney that is experienced in immigration. You could possibly consult one online too from another country. What about immigration to Canada or Australia? That may be easier.

To sum it up the best way. You need to find you one good American immigration attorney. It is going to cost you, but in the long run it will be worth it. If you have to borrow the money from a relative or a good friend.
