If homosexuality is so wrong why was this word not found until the 19th century?

ALL animals pratice homosexual traits execpt for birds and God created it. Man has perverted sex not God. As far as the person who gave the scripture concerning a Pastor with one wife it is a "Bishop" not a Pastor. I find it funny when people quote the word and really do not know the word

Scriptures say exactly why the wrath of God abides on the homosexuals:

First of all Barby...animals are animals not human.
The commandments of God were for man and women, not animals. They die off at a certain time frame. Humans at the beginning were made to live forever.
Now about homosexuality...One of the answers here hit the nail on the head, beautiful. Please Barb read Rom 1: verses17-25 to get the whole picture. The 19th century is wrong Barb.
No matter who we are Barb. fancy titles and all of thoughs who have authority be it religious heads or political, they must set the example for all, if they do not then their standing is more serious then the flock.

in case you look into the bible, there are numerous places the place it says that the act of homosexuality is a sin and an abomination. Leviticus 18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind as with womankind; that's an abomination. one million John 3:4 The bible says that homosexuality is a sin and the answer to the challenge of sin (the breaking of God's regulation) is located purely in Jesus. some different places the place the Bible mentions homosexuality are found in the verses indexed under. There are many words that did not exist until the last few hundred years; but that does not mean there haven't been synonyms for the same concept. The Bible uses the term 'sodomite' for homosexual. And even when a specific word is not used, the concept is clear (Leviticus 20:13, Romans 1:27)

BTW, 'pastor' and 'bishop' are words used synonymously in many senses, particularly in the Bible; they both are used to for the same person's position as 'overseer' of a congregation (church).

They talk about Jesus all thru the old testament, they just don't spell it out. Homosexuality is the same thing. They people did it, (look at Sodom and Gomorrah) they just didn't call it by that name. My question is, why are some people Homo's? They ones I know, have always been that way. If God made them that way, how can He condemn them? Which would you rather live next door to a Homo, a crack addict, or a thief? I'd take the Homo everytime. The ones I know can't seem to help it. And it's not like they are out knocking over liquor stores or something. The worst they are going to do is redo your hair or something.

*WHY* does that book say so? Because God said it? Okay, fine... WHY did God say it? If there truly is good and evil, then it's God who decided what was right and what was wrong, so WHY did he decide it was wrong?
