If you have your commission security license( that means that you can carry a gun) and you fail your drug test, along with firing you from your company can they also revoke your commission license?

It is not me, it is someone else. So please answer the question, without being mean, please.

I'd imagine, drugs could seriously affect your performance with a personal firearm, possibly to a point of total missjudgement.

First off, having a commissioned security license does not mean you can carry a gun there are only unarmed and armed security guard licenses, no such thing as a commissioned security license, second if you are taking drugs ,if they are legal they will show up as such, if they are illegal drugs the company can fire you and have the state revoked your security guard license and you might get arrested

While the company cannot revoke the license, they can refer the case to the Commission who granted the license.

The company can not revoke it but they will report the failed drug test and it will most likely revoke the permit.

They need to find a new line of work.

There a federal law that states if you have a substance abuse problem and you admit it to your employer, state that you want help and then get help (rehab), then you cannot be fired. I believe it fall under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Your employer can put you on a probationary period after your return to work. They can also request you be tested anytime and as many times as they want. I'm not sure about losing your commission.

They may deny, Revoke, or suspend, or place on probabtion. Pretty scary to know someone with a drug problem is out there who was placed in an area to protect. Goes to show, there really is all walks of life out there. Hope he gets a good judge because he might just have to bend over and kiss his (_l_) goodbye for awhile.
Good Luck to whoever you are...And hey, word of advice....Say NO to drugs!!!
