Like when the Dungeon Master isn't getting his way and starts making up attributes or creatures... It's like how much can we add to this thing to make it add up in our heads even though it doesn't make any sense to begin with and we're just making it worse.

To those who think i'm saying "i know it all:"

I'm not, i am an agnostic atheist, meaning i do not claim to have all of the knowlege available to me to make the distinct claim that there is no god... but i do reserve the delcaration that there is a god until such time that i am presented with sufficient evidence for the positive position. Until such time i will stick to what i can glean from reality an so far it points to no god.

Exactly. Although I've never had a bad game of D&D.

Because D&D is a game. The DM has the right to change and bend rules if necessary, which is explicitly given in the Dungeon Master's Guide.

Never did see such a thing in the Bible--in fact, I believe the end of Revelations expressly prohibits it.

ChooseRealityPLEASE,
I do see what you mean. But making it up isn't what a Christian has to do. It's for those that think that they know everything, including being an Atheist and saying that they are "Scientific" and in the same breath say that there is no God. How coul they know that? They can't. Thus, not being scientific. They throw away their wonderful prideful notion that they are methodical in thier reasoning, for the chance to say,"I cannot be worng."(lol) I guess that on the subject of God, knowledge and methodical logic goes out the window. That's a funny place to do it.

ALOT and nearly all of it comes from Chick publications. They say it is a doorway to the occult. It's a primitive form of "Warcraft", well before video games were developed to the awesomeness they are today, kids had to use their imagination, and play games like Dungeons and Dragons (Ever see that horrid early 80's movie with Tom Hanks? "Mazes and Monsters"). I use to play it with my brother and his friends. I thought it was totally lame.
The bad things came in two cases I remember, one involving a murder pact. The other involving a missing person. And the countless kids blaming D&D and The Devil for their drug abuse!
Basically, like any other games, if you aren't mentally or emotionally stable, you may want to refrain from playing such games.

Unlike dungeon masters making things up on the fly Christians can be held accountable and/or justified by what's written in black and white (and sometimes red) in the Bible.

I pull my religion straight out of the bible and I add nothing and take nothing away from it. Perhaps other denominations do but that is between them and God.
