sometimes, the truth is found in questioning the authority to demand obedience itself

or, the answer can be found in the act of asking the question itself, it presents itself to you just by asking not blindly accepting

so which religions tolerate questions, or asking for leaders to validate thier claims? or the claims of sacred texts to be proved?

I know of 3..

Wicca demands the seeking of knowledge, for evil resides in ignorance. It encourages learning about other cultures, other religions, other ways of life outside one's own.

I teach a Bible study class...and encourage questions.

I use scripture and 99% of the time, have the book, chapter and verse for the class. Sometimes during class, I will think of a scripture...I encourage everyone to look up the scriptures and check it for themselves and not just take my word for it.

I love the 20/20 rule. Read the 20 verses before and then the 20 after to make sure it's not taken out of context.

I am Christian.

as a spiritualist we are asked to throw away all that doesnt seem right and logical to us and to question when need be ... this relates even to the spirit teachings we have
we should not take something blindly without thought and reason
always question and find your own truth

But in Hinduism it is there.
Charvakan was a very sceptical person and he turned out to be an atheist.
He asked many questions.
You know, he is one of the many rishis (sages) in Hinduism!
