As much as I don't like the way it's put, basically, yes. Henry VIII stole the lands and properties of the Roman Catholic Church.

Catholics stole them in the first place. He took them back to ensure Britain remained an Anglican country as catholicism had no place here, and still doesn't judging by the number of children who have been bummed-off by priests, and then protected by the evil Catholic Church.

I think you need to take a look at how the catholic church ( and all churches actually) gained their lands in the first place.
Murder, torture, extortion, blackmail, theft and deception. All lovely values to aspire to.!!!
The landholdings and treasure trove that the catholic church holds is obscene.
However, I am sure they will find some passages in the bible to explain their actions as being pure of though and make it someone elses fault.

Who did the Catholic Church (or any church) steal/bribe/extort from to get them beforehand ?............... good old Joe Public.
So Henry VIII 'stole' the land from my ancestors......... except us humans own no more land than a dog owns land...... we are all animals alike.

The catholic Church probably stole them from someone else beforehand anyway. To the victor the spoils.

Yes, and nuns were imprisoned as were priests and monks. Many were put to death because of their faith and refusal to join the Church of England. These are facts of history.
