i am on the pill and having all the symptoms of being pregnant. Has anyone acctually gotten pregnant while taking the pill ( i was on levlin)

Not me personally but I knew a women who got pregnant on the pill not once, but twice! And I've heard it a few times before. So yeah, its possible! Pill isn't 100% safe.

It happened to me twice. The pill/patch/ring is only 99% effective so the possibility is slim, but if you've had unprotected sex it's always possible. If you are concerned about being pregnant take a test. I know that's redundant, but it's the best way to tell. If the test is negative and you continue to have symptoms call your doctor and explain to them what's going on. My friend actually started developing the symptoms of pregnancy on birth control, but come to find out she actually developed an allergy to that particular pill. Hopefully all is well.

I did--twice--from drug interactions that are not common and not warned about. The first time, I was on Triphasil and a quinolone antibiotic, Levaquin. The second time, I was on Yasmin and nothing else but herbal supplements. The doctor couldn't really figure out what caused the interaction; so, he blamed it on my smoking while on the pill. Yes, apparently you can get pregnant while on the pill if you're a smoker.

yes, and if you are having symptoms stop taking them!!!! my son now 3 months is having heart problems and the reason may be because i stayed on the pill for 2 months after i got pregnant (not knowing of course i was pregnant) so i urge you stop taking them and go to the doctor

My mom and my aunt did.
I believe the pill is only about 85% protective

i did. apparently i am so fertile that the estrogen level was not high enough. So now i stick to Depo-vera. But i still love my 8 year old son:D
