I would reach out to memebers of both parties and come up with a viable solution. I would admit that i was wrong about WMDs, Iraq/Al Quaeda connection, and many other things. I would reach out to the international community and try to see what kind of support we have.
Sadly, Bush is the DECIDER as he is wont to call himself, the democrats are not going to do anything that might help Bush look good, and the Republicans are in a big mess themselves. The only solution may be to fire some high ranking officials that can never admit failure, Rummy, and slowly rebuild, and heal america

I'd move my Dad into the office next door and have him run things for a while. If he wanted to bring in Powell, Baker and Skocroft that would be ok too.

I'd send a bunch of cruise missiles with conventional warheads to Iran and North Korea and blow up every nuclear facility they have. If a cruise missile won't do it, then I'll send a B-2 with some big bunker buster bombs to do it. I'll keep doing it until every known facility lies in ruins.

I would continue to focus on my strategy and refine as things change. The terrorists and Democrats are hoping that you will back down and change. That way the terrorists will win Iraq and the Democrats will pile on and say "see, we told you so" It is apparent that you can't please the terrorists or Democrats, so I advise you to stay focused.
