Call the doctors office where you were diagnosed and ask them. Most insurance companies have information that they will be happy to give you. A health education nurse at many drs. offices have alot. Go on line. There is lots of stuff there. If you don't have access to computers, go the library. Ask around too. I bet you know people that are diabetic. Don't forget recipe books. I am diabetic. There is alot of information out there. Good luck.

Best way to find really good recipes is on the diabetic websites, especially the ones you will find by searching "diabetic recipes." I'm a regular on them.

I think allrecipes.com has recipes that are diabetic friendly. This is a great website. All the recipes are rated by users and they can also write reviews that they can give tips in.

If you're under a doctor's care, call his office and ask if they have a print out? If not, call a local hospital and see if they have info for you at no cost.
