if you really love him then the other guy wont matter. he can just be a good friend. but, if you keep wondering if there might be someone better. you can always take a break from your boyfriend to see what else is out there.

I hope you get a lot of responses to this one. This is why, and I know it sounds corny, you don't sleep with people too early (like until you're at least pretty sure it's going to be the real deal). If you haven't, good for you, but if you have, then there is an obvious potential problem. For what it's worth, I had a girl that was ONLY a friend who had a very similar situation. She dropped the bf and went for the new guy. Now, she talks to the ex occasionally, but is still with the "new guy", but they have now been together like 2+ years (and I think she's thinking bout getting that ring now, you know?) Look on the bright side; it's a tough call but only because they seem to both be good choices. You can't exactly go wrong. Good luck.

If you really love him then you love him for all he is, and the "connecting" I bet you are speaking of not having with your boyfriend is probably lust, and that's not bad. Lust is wasted in a relationship, because when you have sex, if you do, it is a sharing of more than just physical desire and desire for an orgasm, but also a closeness that goes beyond the physical aspect of it. If this is the way you "love" your boyfriend, stay with him. If it isn't, be honest about it.

Wow....it's a common case that happens around me and that's what I like to call is human nature. Of course you're going to find people you're going to connect even after you marry. If you're really sincere and faithful to your boyfriend to the end then keep on going. If not, then it was never meant to be after all. Think of it as a test of your faithfulness and love toward your boyfriend.

is he your first love? sure sounds like it. that is really a tough call. my gut answer would be to stay with your man. it is hard enough to find someone to be with, let alone to stay with for 2 years and completely get a long with. but, if you really have a connection with the other one, then it is up to you.
some perspective: first, my friends are having a tough time finding a partner, and you have one that you've been with for two years, and are considering leaving for another guy? second, a friend of mine was left by his girlfriend of 4 years to "give other guys a chance." he was her first (with everything). the irony was that he was about to propose to her that night, so was quite heartbroken. it took him two long years to get over her. he found someone else, whom he eventually married. i think his ex-gf eventually married, too, but they were one of those "perfect couples" that you can just gag about.
good luck

There is no such thing as "eventually marrying".
When people are in a relationship they either want to marry their partner, or they don't. People who end up marrying their long-term partner also end up unhappy and eventually divorced.
You already know if you want to marry him or not.
Ask him flat out if he wants to marry you. If neither of you says, yes; then move onto the other guy.

If you want to risk a perfect relationship for some guy you just met then go ahead, but don't go running back to him because you didn't work out with the other guy. You already hurt him enough when you dumped him, he doesn't want to be your backup when things go wrong.
