No We would still have had all same old problems.The Old Testament is history And for information and research only.We still have to abide by the rules but the rules have changed from the birth of Christ.He gave us an new rule.The rule of love.If everyone lived by that rule all the others would be automatically obeyed.It has nothing to do with where the Bible starts.The Bible starts with the recreation of earth not the creation.That means that wherever it started it would have caused the same problems.

Maybe for you it would be. But I find the first 12 chapters very valuable.
