Iam a single mum with kids and yes I think men are put off because they think we are looking for a new Daddy (not true in my case and for most I believe) sadly tho the men you do get seem to think they are doing you a favour - before them of course we had no life. Its true they do assume they can get down your knickers alot quicker so make them wait even longer than your usual time limit. All of my male friends say honestly out of choice they would rather go with the ones without kids.
I do have a social life and I seem to get alot of male attention but I stand up proud and my kids come into conversation with the first 10 mins of chatting and if they are not interested in that part of my life then they are not worthy of me!!

Yes and for mulitple reasons. Culturally it doesn't look to good for a person to be with a women and the kid doesn't look like his, For both parties. Physcially there is the fact that few ladies can make it thru pragancy without scars. Emotionally you've got a person who lost the love of their life with a kid that just lost one of the most important things in there life. Besides theres no street credit for the fact that you love a mom with kids. The fact is that "dating" single mums is the last thing she needs anyways she needs a husban, she needs a helping hand, she needs that bastard to be a good man and take care of their kid. So its a serious situation and people looking to just date don't want to step into something serious. On the bright side anyone welling to look past all this and love you and the kid is one hell of a man, or just plain crazy.

I think most are because being single and a mom, the guy thinks you are looking for a new daddy for your kid / s-- but they also know that you will be easier, as in getting laid because if you are looking for your kids' daddy- you will be faster in letting the guy get into your pants and hopefully get in interested in you and your kids
