Whitening products containing Carbamide Peroxide come in 16% and 22%; however, these are only available through your dentist. Newer formulations come with an additive ACP (Amorphous Calcium Phosphate and Potassium Nitrate) which are supposed to reduce sensitivity. There are also products that contain Hydrogen Peroxide instead of Carbamide Peroxide. Increasing to a higher percentage will actually increase the sensitivity that you are experiencing. My advice to you is not to use it overnight. Use it for and hour or two each day, if that doesn't improve the sensitivity, try alternating days (using it every other day). Higher percentage formulations should be used for even less time!

Yes you can get 15 and even 20% in the Uk but only from a dentist. Beware though as the stronger it is the more potential it has to make your teeth sensitive.

If your teeth are sensitive use a high fluoride mouthwash, available from your dentist or the chemist, like Fluoriguard and a sensitive toothpaste like sensodyne or Colgate sensitive.

Hope this helps!

you may want to try 2 hours during day and 2 hours at night this may reduce your sensitvity, also you can ask you dentist about Flouride in between to reduce sensitivity
