Nostradamus didn't write any books... He wrote quatrains. Little snips that are interpreted today as predictions of the future. Of coarse only as it has already happened.

Nostradamus writes about happenings in the past in a way that leads some (like Nostradamus himself) to think they are predicions to the future. Perhaps the most famous is his predictions of the flooding of the river Hisler. It was written in such a way that everyone thought he meant something else.
There is an excellent Discovery Channel piece on it.
His books are written in a strange french sosiolect, and his imagery is very often misinterpreted. Beware.

I don't believe that Nostradamus wrote any books. He wrote a series of predictions about the future. They are, in general, so vague that many of them have been proclaimed to have come to pass.
