I broke my ankle a few months back, my Dr didn't require me to go to rehab since I do not have insurance, but gave me some exercises to do at home. Does anyone have any other ideas?

your dr. is correct, follow his advise or you will end up with very weak ankles that resprain easily. even a misstep could put you on crutches for weeks. i know cause it happened to me. the good news is it's never too late to start them and strengthen your ankle. i finally did it 3 years later and am glad i did. so go for it! learn from my mistake on this and make your mistakes in another area, you'll be glad you did.

I serverely sprained my ankle last year. Didn't break the bone but tore several ligaments which is even worse. My advice to you is to wear a protective ankle brace as much as possible. Even you you have shoes on. Avoid pressure on the ankle as much as possible. Gentle exercise like your doctor told you is best. And you have to give it a lot of time to heal.
