Sit-ups and push-ups are great, but walking is also good. I do 50 to 100 sit-up with knees bent 45 degrees in bed before getting up and at night before going to sleep. I also do up to 250 push-ups,25 at a time, all during the day. Any type exercise is good, but make it a regular thing over a long period of time.

Yes. First of all, make sure your diet is rich in protein since that is what the body uses to build muscle mass. Then, do exercises against your own resistance. For example, push your arm out while trying to keep it held in to your body at the same time. Then try to bring it back while trying to keep it extended. If done right, this can feel just like using a bench press. You can also do the same thing with your legs by lying on your back and extending then retracting them. Doing knee bends is also good. The important thing is to make sure you work both muscle groups. The muscles used to extend as well as the ones used to retract should be strengthened at the same time. This will help keep an overall tone and maintain flexibility. Swimming is great because it takes more strength to move through water than it does to move through air.

If you wish tog et strong weights is the way to do it. If you want to look good, run, jog or bike. Avoid the pasta bread and potatoes, and eat small meals every three hours. There is more to it than this but this is a start. The small meals will keep your metabolism running, no starches will minimize your body producing fat, and the excerise will burn up the old fat, you will be good for showing not going. Continue your push ups and sit ups.

In order to have defined muscles without the use of weights you need to do a lot of cardio(run, bike, swim, etc) to lessen the layer of fat on top of your muscles. And to build the muscle do resistance training because this causes your muscles to work hard and get stronger but reduces the likihood of injury that could result from using weights.

besides push ups, sit ups and weights?? That kinda limits your options, don't you think. Go running, thats a start, make sure you stretch before and after. If you go to the gym most of the machines involve weights.
