Was Jesus Christ a real, historical person?
The Bible itself is the principal evidence that Jesus Christ is a historical person. The record in the Gospels is not a vague narrative of events at some unspecified time and in an unnamed location. It clearly states time and place in great detail. For an example, see Luke 3:1, 2, 21-23.
The first-century Jewish historian Josephus referred to the stoning of “James, the brother of Jesus who was called the Christ.” (The Jewish Antiquities, Josephus, Book XX, sec. 200) A direct and very favorable reference to Jesus, found in Book XVIII, sections 63, 64, has been challenged by some who claim that it must have been either added later or embellished by Christians; but it is acknowledged that the vocabulary and the style are basically those of Josephus, and the passage is found in all available manuscripts.
Tacitus, a Roman historian who lived during the latter part of the first century C.E., wrote: “Christus [Latin for “Christ”], from whom the name [Christian] had its origin, suffered the extreme penalty during the reign of Tiberius at the hands of one of our procurators, Pontius Pilatus.”—The Complete Works of Tacitus (New York, 1942), “The Annals,” Book 15, par. 44.
With reference to early non-Christian historical references to Jesus, The New Encyclopædia Britannica states: “These independent accounts prove that in ancient times even the opponents of Christianity never doubted the historicity of Jesus, which was disputed for the first time and on inadequate grounds by several authors at the end of the 18th, during the 19th, and at the beginning of the 20th centuries.”—(1976), Macropædia, Vol. 10, p. 145.

Okay I don't know if were trying to be offensive or not, but Jesus really existed no matter what you beleive about him. He was not only written about in the New Testament (The Christian half of the Bible) but also by Josephus a JEWISH historian, and Tacitus PAGAN writter. A lot of people say Jesus never existed because they don't beleive in him. What about Hitler?? Most people don't beleive in what he said and yet they still know he existed. This is why History and what you beleive when it comes to Religion cannot be mixed together to CHANGE History. History is History. Religion is Religion. If History says that Jesus existed, he existed. If YOUR Religion says that Jesus didn't exist no matter what History tells us, that doesn't mean that History can be changed. What your Religion tells you about History is not always correct, because that might just be what the founders of your Religion beleived or wanted others to beleive.

not any more than Buddha and Mohammad. Atleast in the case of Jesus we have writings dated 30-70 years after his death. In the case of Mohammad it took 150+ years and Buddha 600+.
Besides Jesus Christ had a very short earthly ministry of a little more than 3 years before his crucifixion. He changed the world in a very short time. So its not hard to see where all the fiction comes from (poor study of history). Besides there are references to him in contemporary secular writing as well as the Jewish Talmud. It doesn't get any better than that for anyone else who lived around that time.

Yes, Jesus is just a fictional character with lots of documented history to support his existence, just like Hitler.

Jesus is a historical person. There are documents mentioning him from non Christians. What happened in his life, how he died, and whether you believe he is the Son of God is another deal.

No,
There is tons of independent information about Jesus from non-religious people.
Do yourself a favor and seek the real truth about Jesus before jumping to a wrong conclusion.
An eternity is a terrible thing to waste.
Peace.

The town of Nazereth did not exist until at least 60 AD.
If something that basic is pure fiction, what else was made up?
