it's difficult to say. i think it would be really cool to have a relationship with a great friend. you are risking alot if at the end it doesn't work out... but if you truly value your friendship (with time) you'll be able to go back to being just friends...it will never be the same but in a way you will be closer.

I would say yes, if I felt the same way for him. Right now I don't have any guy friends that would lead me into that situation but...
Anyways if it didn't work out, I would try to stay friends but would have to distance myself from him at first to try to deal with the confusing feelings and any emotional pain that may have come from the situation. If the breakup was mutual or if we didn't do cruel things to hurt each other's feelings, then yeah I could go back to being good friends again. But if any of the above did happen, I probably wouldn't want to be friends anymore just to avoid getting hurt any further in the long run.

I would say yes if I had the same feelings for him. I think in the long run if it didn't work out we wouldn't be as close but still friends.

I would always give something a try at least once ...but i dont think that you can have both the relationship and the friendship afterwards. Break ups are always painful, so moving on and regaining that friendship will be hard and may take time or may never happen

It would depend on the friend. I might feel closer to him but it's been my experience that it never goes back to being the way it was before. A relationship changes everything. It may take years before you can even get to where you were as friends before you had thte relatioinship. But it's never a bad thing to go with a friend.

it depends......if i acutally like that guy and/or have feelings for him then i wud agree to go out....... If it doesn't work out i wud be both closer and distant. Distant cos it wud be a little weird to be friedns again and closer cos i've been real close to him so it wud be easy to tell him all the stuff that's going on in my life. Good LUcK!!!!!

if i could see that person as a boyfriend i would say yes. if it didn't work out i would feel the same. this has actually happened to me and we've had a strong relationship for almost 7 months. it's a risk but it can be worth it.

Been there. Done that. It didn't work out between us. We are still best friends! We have realized that we make better friends than lovers but we still are increadibly close. We are both married now and both of our spouses know our past and understand our relationship.

Much more distant. Because the fun was over and the hurt sets in. Time to move on to something else and start over.

I dont think you should ruin your relationship like that. Cause in the long run if yall break up it wont be the same. Things will be awkward that yall were together and if yall get in another relationship there will be jealousy
