It is very clearly set forth in the Scriptures that Jesus Christ will bodily and visibly return to this earth. In the Old Testament there are prophecies which can be fulfilled only by our Lord's return. In the New Testament there are over 300 references to Christ's second coming. Christ Himself emphasized that He would come again. On one occasion He said, "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am" (John 14:3). On another occasion Jesus said, "You will see the Son of man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven" (Mark 14:62; see also Mark 13:26, Matthew 24:30 and Luke 21:27).

The apostles continued the emphasis on Jesus' return. In 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, Paul said, "For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever." Revelation 1:7 says, "Look, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him." The bodily, visible return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is the Christian's "blessed hope" (Titus 2:13).
There is a great deal of interest today in the subject of our Lord's return. I believe that this divinely predicted event may well happen soon; and I am constantly urging believers to obey the scriptural injunction that "teaches us to say 'No' to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope—the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ" (Titus 2:12-13). At the same time, Mr. Graham is also aware that the Lord's return may be thousands of years away. The Bible says that "with the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day" (2 Peter 3:8).

While there are indications that we may be approaching a crisis in history, and biblical descriptions of the last days fit our times, it would be unwise to make any prediction about the exact time of Christ's return. When on earth, Jesus said, "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father" (Matthew 24:36). The important thing is that we should be ready for His coming: "Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour" (Matthew 25:13). Read also 1 Thessalonians 5:1-11 and 2 Peter 3:3-15.

There is a long history of people believing the Rapture or End Times was within their generation. There was a group called the Millennialists who were around in pre-Civil War America who said Jesus was going to appear on a certain day at a certain place. The day came but Jesus didn't. They were dissapointed, but set a new date, and Jesus failed to show a second time. Then they decided they were better off saying he would come "soon," without specifying exactly when.

Upon looking into the Scriptures, Jesus should have returned within a generation of his followers (Matthew 24:34), but clearly he did not.

Then we are in undesirable shape while you're suited. There could be understand extra demise in accordance to Revelations 20:15, Rev 21:4 and not extra tears or crying etc yet we've a lot of those. while he returns this is in the comparable way the disciples seen him ascend. Matt 24:30, Acts a million:11.

I guess I am just not important enough to be on the phone list... It is clear that anyone saying such a thing doesn't believe the Bible. It says clearly that the end won't come till there is a falling away first and the mam of sin be reviled. Till you see the Anti-Christ I wouldn't concern myself with the end... Jim

It is not very likely. While the bible states in revelations that we are to receive signs before the second comming of Christ I am very doubtful that Christ would be comming next year. But then again to hypothesize on something of this nature is not needed because to understand the workings of God is impossible. "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own" (Matthew 6:25-34).

No matter what your belief on Revelation (pre-mill, mill, or post-mill), it's assumed no one knows when he will come back. Only if you are a person who believes that the rapture was in fact an ancient war will you have any clues, and even then, it's debated about what time period that war might have taken place in.

There is only one who knows when Jesus' second coming will be and that is the Father. Jesus didn't know when his return would be when his disciples asked him. There has alway been someone predicting when jesus would return. I would accept him and let him lead your life. God Bless

Only God knows the hour. The truth is you could die today. If you feel you must take your first communion, do it as soon as possible! Life is short- you never know if you have tommorow!

I would not wait to long.

But the Bible says that no man shall know the day or the hour.

Be ready always.

Peace!
