Now that you mention it. There were some.
One was the contention that marriage had "always been a religious rite." After considerable research that turned out to be total hokum - even church authorities agreed it was slow historical encroachment on what had been traditionally a totally secular arrangement.
The others have been scriptural minutia. On those it's been 50-50. When going back to original language renditions I have been wrong just as often as I've been right. Oh well, it would be OK in baseball.

There was a Q on here about E. Q. (Emotional Quotient), The best answer mentioned a book by Clifford Pickover called 'Strange Brains And Genius'. It covers the hard times people with high I.Q.'s have socially. I think I'm going to get that one and read it, it sounds interesting.

Yes, of course. I was fascinated with the monstrans and with solipsism.
I learned that solipsism is: A metaphysical belief that the universe is entirely the creation of one's own mind. Thus, in a sense, the belief that nothing 'exists' outside of one's own mind.
I learned that a monstrans is: An ostensorium or ostensory. In Catholicism it is a receptacle in which the consecrated Host is exposed for adoration.

Yes -- because I like to know all kinds of crap.
The main thing I have learned is that I am much better at finding answers to questions on the Internet than the average person.

A question about the Pledge of Allegiance. Devlsadvoct stated that the words had been changed. I am so ashamed to say that I did not know that. I then asked why and when. I was informed and appalled at the reason. "Under God" should be removed immediately.

Yes a very interesting link on KING JAMES VERSION OF THE BIBLE, I watched it for quite some time and it confirmed my belief that the KJV was the authorized version and all of the other translations left things out or changed there meanings.

Somone asked a question about the Westboro Baptist church, they were the ones who were going to picket the Amish funerals for those poor girls? When I looked on their site, I did not realize they were the same bunch that has the godhatesfags stuff. These people are crazy!

dominionism and reconstructionism with the evangelical christians
I learned that there are a VERY FEW people who know about it but when presented with the evidence they saw that people like David Barton has been re-writing quotes of John Adams, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and wording things in an effort to try and push for change in our government to stop protecting our freedom of choice of religion and practice, or freedom from religious and state interferance in your own beliefs to make the US a 'christian nation' and upend everything..
I learned that ONE person admitted after seeing these fraudulent quotes or sites like Wallbuilders, Heritage Foundation, Patriot Pastors, Texas Restoration Projects, they saw that it's for real and they are being orchestrated by Karl Rove, paid by Bush (David Barton advisor) and busy enacting more illegal and unconstitutional laws or 'incentives' that favor one religion or one type of faith, which in this case is "faith" based, or THEIR faith based, with the FBCI that mirrored the faild CARE in TX pushed also by GW himself and now is again a failure in the USA
