True freedom of speech is very rare. Inciting to violence can be condemned, but the condemnation often goes beyond that. I believe it was in France that someone was convicted for sending pictures of aborted fetuses to a hospital administrator. I may not agree with the message, but I don't believe someone should be prosecuted for that. You have to remember that a lot of cultures are enslaved by ideas that we can hardly imagine. In most of Europe until fairly recently, a person could attack you and you could be convicted of murder if that person died. There was no concept of lawful self defense.

Because its degenerate extremist's such as the Phelps family & their Westboro Baptist Church (here in the United States) that actually cause probles for others. I think the person you are talking about deserved to be arrested...

If you have laws against that kind of discriminating speech then yes a person should not speak like that.
There is freedom of speech and there's complete disrespect.
And even if you did think it was unfair would you go around speaking against the Jews and the Holocaust?

I think maybe they arrested him for something else, but he was also speaking out against homosexuals.
In any case, calling homosexuals "degenerates" is a bit mean, don't you think? Or are you a bigoted asshole?

People in the US were arrested for speaking out against Homosexuals.... Of course, they did it during one of their parades and was screaming "Burn in Hell Fag!" at them. They deserved to get arrested for displaying such prejudice.
Now what was the circumstances of this person in the UK? Is it on the BBC?

What was the nature of the speech? If it was hate speech then he should have been arrested. If it was just an opinion then that is stupid.

Freedom of speech act came into ACT that's it. Why speak against others when the Spirit of God has a lot to speak against everyone of us and the Church TODAY!
