hors-du oeuvres are what come before a meal...to start out the salvation. they are appetizers.

les entrees are the main meal, that u spend the money on (besides the drinks) =p

hors-du oeuvres is appatizers but entrees are only main courses in ENGLISH
entrees in french are what you 'commence' (start) with
aka (salad or soup) like the before the meal, little dish thing
