Some people can get really angry when they hear political opinions that they disagree with, and anger tends to impede the reasoning process. If this phenomenon about people really brings distress into your life, you always have the option of keeping your political opinions private. You are absolutely right that we should argue the issues rather than call each other names. Many people keep their politics a secret because they don't want to deal with the conflict. You have to decide for yourself whether the battle is worth it.

Because you support criminals. You're all for amnesty, huh? You're not an American - if you love this country you should be doing all you can to protect this country and not REWARD ILLEAGAL CRIMINALS.
To understand what makes someone a foreigner, we need to look back to the time when the Bible was written. People lived in communities surrounded by their relatives or kinsmen. They were a nation made up of one race. God created each race to be different and placed them in their own regions. So when someone from a different race or community came into your territory, they were considered a foreigner or a stranger.
All across the world today, we are forced to live alongside all communities from all regions of the globe. We are taught to tolerate and appreciate varying cultures, above that of our own. If we don't tolerate their cultures, we are ostracized and seen as extremists.
Federalism tells us we cannot live in separate, distinctive states, each with its own laws and an option to live under a theocratic government.
For the record:
Foreigner (ILLEGAL)
One who is from outside a particular group or community; an outsider. DOESN'T BELONG HERE.
Leviticus 18:26
Ye shall therefore keep my statutes and my judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations; neither any of your own nation, nor any stranger that sojourneth among you.
Leviticus 24:22
Ye shall have one manner of law, as well for the stranger, as for one of your own country: for I am the LORD your God.

Good for you for standing up for yourself.
I am a guy, but just to see what would happen, I got a cute female avatar and went on Answers as a girl.
I was called some pretty vile names.
I usually get 6 to 7 % best answers.
I got 3%!
You ladies do get an amazing amount of ****, but if you don't take it, and women would stop the sex with bad boy junk, it would soon stop. But as long as women gotta have bad boys, there will be plenty of volunteers. And creeps on Answers.
Not blaming all women, just ones with bad taste in men.

Your profile is fine, sweetie. And, though I favor granting citizenship to those who prove themselves as being here to help, if not at least work visas, I also say there has to be a line drawn. the rules need to be clear, and we cannot reward people for breaking the rules. At the same time, I think the US, as a government, should research ways to help Mexico develope and become self-reliant, so that the comman man/woman of each state can look to their neighbor and feel proud. It's a bit idealistic, but, I don't budge on the rules part. Laws and rules are made for the benefit of all. And, to break those is a grave insult to the society which made them.

Baby" Don't worry about that Tee B. It's obvious what she is, and you must take things from who they come. That person created an ID just to insult you because of your declared belonging to a specific culture. Your profile is not racist at all, what rubs them the wrong way is that you declared yourself proamnesty and that is like a spit in the face of many poeople who will not accept any other reason, np other point of view or any other dissension. Don't fell bad, is not personal against you, that person has a problem against a hole kind of human beings and you are just one membe of that clas, don't be afraid or sad: there are many of us too....a hole continent to the south who is your culture and your people and who are not racists, we know that, God knows that, what do we care if others think what they wanna think?
At the end it will come only to God and there, at that moment only the color of our souls, the soul that longs to God will go to its righteous place. Keep hate in any form always away from your heart, and don't be distressed if they insult you. Don't give them the victory over you by making you hate them.
You are brave to defend your political views in public, with respect, and not a coward who hides to shoot from the dark, just like the insults thrown at you, they make you nobler and to him/her it debases.
PS: And Soren kierkegard is one of my favorite philosophes too.

I wouldn't say I could see that you are a racists or a slut or any of the other things that you mentioned, but I would disagree with your ideals.
Ask yourself a question do you believe this unalienable right is for everyone in the world or just other Hispanics? I would guess that you would say everyone in the world. So does that mean that the 5 billion people in the world who are poorer than the people in Mexico, Cuba, and etc. also have the right to come into the U.S. without permission? Is it the right of an impoverished people to come into a country and cost the natives of that country billions of dollars?
What about the people who are criminals coming into the country? Is it their right? What about the victims in the U.S.? Is it the right for someone to come into a country, have a baby, and force the citizen's of that country to foot the bill?
Just like I don't have the right to go into Mexico and declare myself a citizen. Mexicans don't have the right to come into the U.S. and declare themselves citizens.

I don't agree with some of your views, but personal attacks are stupid. You try to be fair (from what I have seen), even when you are wrong ; ) . When I was called a racist you defended me, when all other pro illegal people just ranted about all anti illegals being racist. I commend you for that, and hope you will just ignore people that attack you on a personal level. It sucks.

Racist is a word that people on both sides of the argument throw around when they have nothing better to say against someone else's argument.

the people who so rudely branded you are themselves rascists. if they can't accept that any one country can have multi-races, multi-culture, multi-nationals, then they ought to find themselves a place to live on their own and back in their white supremacy. i am not objected to any skin color or race or nationality. i was brought up in that environment, to tolerate and respect everyone for who they are and where they come from. but i still feel that the whites, though not all but a few, have a discriminating demeanor about them. you can tell by checking onto the society and culture sections and read some of the answers. and in every question posed on immigration there will be some who will condemn other races. the debate is on illegal immigration and not about the color of their skin. to these people who still maintain an air of rascism, i say to them, grow up.
