Sure I think it could be as long as you melt the same amount of white chocolate as you would have of the regular chocolate; but... if you are allergic to chocolate couldn't you be allergic to the white chocolate too? Don't want you to have a reaction, those aren't much fun.

From "Allergy Health Online". They say, in part, that very few people are allergic to chocolate/cocoa. Many reactions to chocolate are caused by an intolerance or allergy to one or more of the other ingredients or food additives in chocolate. These include soy lecithin, milk, corn syrup, gluten, nuts, flavorings and dyes.
Since white chocolate is also made from cocoa, if you are allergic to regular chocolate, you will also have a reaction to white chocolate.
Further, if you are making "puppy chow" for animal consumption, DON'T!!!!!. Chocolate can be deadly to dogs and cats!

First, if you are talking about making actual puppy chow for a dog, consult a vet. Dogs should not be fed chocolate at all.
If you are talking about making something called Puppy Chow that is actually for humans, remember that white chocolate still has cocoa oils in it, which is what many people are allergic to.

Sounds like a great idea.......... except for the fact that chocolate is poisonous to dogs. White chocolate contains less theobromine which is what poisons them. It depends on body weight how much will kill a dog. A puppy probably wouldn't need very much to expire from it.
btw - why would it matter if you are allergic to chocolate when you will be feeding it to your dog???????

Haa! My sister in law made that last year!! I had never seen it before..I almost couldn't eat it, it was so weird..looked just like dog food..
I think that if you colored the white chocolate right, it would still look good. No idea about being alergic to white versus milk chocolate.
