You have a guilty conscience. Apparently, even if you aren't the guilty party. You can overcome this with one easy step..... Just quit caring what people think. When you find yourself worried, just say, I don't give a f*ck.

you are you. dont compare yourself to others. I think you are ashamed because of how you grew up and you own surrondings, if you dont know what it is its okay. We can never change or erase the past but the future is something only you can create for yourself. Just remember you are never alone. There are ups and downs in life, like the snow that will soon melt and become spring. There is a reason for everything born. Im not really sure what ashamed means because there's too many meaning. Sorry i couldnt be much of a help.

Wow, this sounds familiar. I remember when I was trying to learn to drive a car with a manual transmission I would only drive in the middle of the night so no one would see me mess up. Most of the time this kind of thing can be attributed to a social or generalized anxiety disorder. Little bity things like a stain on your shirt or making a mistake can make you so embarassed and anxious it can be really hard to function. Talk to a MD or other health care provider and see if you can get some meds for this. Most of the time it will be a drug like Zoloft, which in low doses works great for this kind of thing. It can be hell constantly being ashamed and embarassed and I hope you can get some help.

I agree with the 1st 2 answers. It might help you to know that most people aren't thinking or even paying attention to you--they've got their own insecurities and problems. Are you shy or ashamed? They are 2 different things.

What would be best for you is to go and visit your doctor and explain how you are feeling. More than likely she will refer you to a therapist. It's a good idea to speak to medical professionals when you are having feelings like this. There may be medications or just being able to speak to someone who will be unbiased about your situation can help you work thru your feelings.

When we feel shame, chances are someone in our early life laid a lot of guilt on us. Sounds like you're beating yourself up, emotionally. See if you can make appt. with a therapist who charges on your ability to pay. If you'[re living with someone who makes you feel guilty, inventory that relationship. Guilt is such a waste because we cannot fix yesterday and tomorrow isn't here yet.

In order to change this kind of feeling you have to think about the roots of the problem. Something in your life has made you feel this way and if you can remember it you will be able to control it.

I agree with "Mary"..something in your background is causing this.

Put your head up high and say: I do not care what other people think of me, over and over again, till you actually believe it.

Speak to a therapist if you can, it must be hard to live like that.

take care
