I took this verse...Luke 6:38...Did, what it said to do....

Gave away cars, money, clothes, appliances, all kinds of stuff to needy people..

Now I'm broke as a convict...jobless..and paying rent...with a child and wife to support.

Proof enough for me......

Madmax,
1) I don't believe you actually did those things.
2) Even if you did, you totally missed the point and the context of the verse.
3) You proved that you didn't understand Hebrews 11.

Sorry bud, all those works don't save you. It'[s by faith we are saved, and you proved that you weren't doing it in faith.

Oops. Not too late to start over.

I the first place I very much doubt that you did.
in the second I know people who have and the Lord has blessed then 100 times over (my Father being one)
And in the third Dude if I write: I Have Proved that Atheism is false because I have received answers to prayer what would you say?
These kind of sentences do not work for any but the hard headed blindly ambitious Atheists and the "Ignorance is bliss" Christians.

Matthew 5: Happiness is the man aware of his spiritual need.
It's ok to have Nice things and a nice job, but letting it take control of your life is what causes suffering
Not to sound selfish, but famine and homelessness are signs of the last days. You don't have to give up everything to someone "needy" to be in good standing with God

First, to "receive" any of that you would have to be a Christian. Second, the things that will be "given to you" are not necessarily (some would say not at all) physical things, but spiritual.

Repent and trust.
