How about Americans being arrogant towards other military powers?

All I read about American military is rendered down to "excellent", "good", "efficient".... At the same time when I read about other military powers like Russia, China etc. People prefer to write about their military as "obsolete", "crap", "rotten" etc. It looks like according to the most Americans others technology is just nothing in comparison to the American one. Do you support it? Or do you think it's just American media brainwash the public about US military and its capabiliteis compare to other countries?

It's funny..... Don't you know that all your words about US "being always superior" have an exact match to the former Soviet ones..... The same exact words: we, we we...... just ad "amen" for completion. I hope that our American military will protect us.... So far other's trying to protect themselves from American agression.

A "super power" which failed miserably in Katrina and put the nation in jeopardy. No country in this whole world is a super power. The only source of true power is God. Can a super power deal with a tsunami? Can it handle an earthquake? Can it stop a hurricane? A nation which is able to deprive other nations of their rights and interfere in their matters in every possible way is the definition of a super power?

The truth is that most of the Americans are completely unaware of what really is happening in the world. When I say that, I mean that they just depend on their corrupt media for information which is infested with liars. The good thing, however, is that there are Americans who realize this and instead of just depending on their media, they dig things out.

You can't have an excuse that your leaders kept you uninformed or they misled you. You have a responsibiliy as an individual to strive and find out the truth.

The Russians lacked technologically, but made up for it in dependable, mass-produced weaponry, and a fighting spirit perhaps equalled only by that of the American Soldier. There is a reason the CCCP (USSR) was our primary adversary in the Cold War. The Germans made the best equipment in the world, and everyone knows it. The French, despite alot of the flack they get, are experts in subterfuge and insurgency. The English bring discipline to an Art. Yes! An Art that we Americans envy. The Aussies... Gah! They're just nuts, man! I wouldn't ever want to fight them.

America? We have a very good to excellent status of training and equipment. Our fighting spirit is one that is to be looked to as one to emulate. AND, we are an all volunteer military. The American Soldier is truly unique. He/She is reviled, loved, respected, feared, and even abused. And, still, they get up every day, to do stuff that most people are too damned lazy or selfish to do. While there is something to be admired about most other militaries, my American Brothers-and-Sisters-in-Arms are, and always will be the premier military of the 20th and early 21st century.

Americans are not brainwashed by the media. America's military is far better than any other country's, the only other country that can compare to us is Great Brittan. American is constantly improving military technology to keep it on top. Take our weapon of choice the M-16 and the M-4 and compare it to most countries weapon of choice the AK-47. Ours is user friendly where the AK is hard to use it takes two hands to drop the magazine where the M-16 only takes on push of the finger to drop the mag. I think you get the picture. The American Military is #1.

It is America's dellusion and arrogance that has made it seemingly "the most advanced army in the world" according to themselves. Eventhough there are numerous other nations with technology surpasing Americas, but not as talked about.

Even in video games America always seems to have "better" weapons, while the enemy.. typically middle eastern or asian has more unpractical arsenal.

If their technology was as great as it is and their millitary power as eficient as they say they are..then they would have at least won ONE war... what war do you recall America winning that they started? None.

With so called pin-point technology cruise missiles that can be fired miles away they should be able to take out any organisation without a civillian cassualty, INSTEAD they land at a wedding of two young people and kill 70 attending. If their intellignce and surveillance wasw so great they would have realised that a convoy of countless thousands was infact civillian and not millitary during the Gulf War.

I don't think America is being arrogant when it comes to the superiority of our military. I mean, it's the truth. America is a superpower and we have the technology to back it up. When compared to other America, other militaries really are inferior. I wouldn't call them crap or rotten. However, it's not arrogance to state the truth.

Considering US has taken the lead in world military action in the last 15 years, there must be something to that. If Russia military innovation was as comparable, then why did they not take the lead in the first gulf war or bosnia?

A US flown F15 has NEVER been shot down in combat. That's a pretty good record. Now consider that the F22 is replacing the now obsolete F15 and think about how much more advanced the F22 is. This is just one example, but the rest of the military hardware available would yield similar results.

Technologiclly, We are the best but in terms of Manpower China,N.Korea,Russia,and the Middle East got us Beat. Technology is what given the U.S. the Edge over these other Nations.

What most people who talk about America being the world police fail to realize is that we are the only ones capable of doing the job. Where would a town, state, country, or world be without a police force? We take our responsibilites seriously.

I admit I am arrogant when it comes to American military. I wish I could feel the same about our politicians that are in charge of them !
