no the ultimate crime would be to use the knife to scrape out the last of the dog food the put it on the counter then some one come's along & use it to make marmite sandwiches now thats yuck

Hi!
In my house it depends .....
If it is anytime on a Friday from 1pm til bedtime, then it would be a killing offence! I would be the one with the yucky marmite knife in my hand looking for some flesh!!
Friday is my 'cleaning' day, and it is the ONLY day of the week where my house is spick n span! So I'm ALLOWED to freak out at any mess made between said times.
It's a ' woman's ' thing I know, but I just like the house to be 'straight' for at least one 12 hour slot in the week!
Let it be known, though, I would have licked the knife before I stuck it into someone! Waste not, want not!!

I wouldn't want anything on a knife. It should be cleaned off when done and washed or placed in the dishwasher.
I learned that when I was 8 years old. (many moons ago)

It is an ultimate crime to leave a dirty knife and worktop after making any sandwich, get in that kitchen and get it cleaned up now you mucky pup.

It's a crime worthy of confiscating your jar! A true marmite lover would have licked the knife clean!! Don't do it again, it's such a waste!!!

No. The ultimate crime would have been to have used honey, which would have left a sticky trail and might well have attracted a plague of ants!
